IT/L’Armata dei sonnambuli è un romanzo storico di Wu Ming, ambientato durante la Rivoluzione Francese. Quando è uscito mi hanno chiesto alcuni poster da distribuire durante il tour di presentazione. Il primo riproduce un vecchio manifesto teatrale: una grande illustrazione in alto e il titolo, con un frammento del romanzo, in basso. Il secondo è, invece, più punk. Sullo sfondo c’è scritto Zò bot – “giù botte” in dialetto bolognese. Si tratta del grido di battaglia usato da Scaramouche, il protagonista, contro i nemici della Rivoluzione.

The Army of Sleepwalkers is a historical novel by Wu Ming, set during the French Revolution. When it came out they asked me for some posters to distribute during the presentation tour. The first one reproduces an old theater poster: a large illustration at the top and the headline, with a fragment of the novel, at the bottom. The second is, instead, more punk. In the background is written Zò bot – “giù botte” in Bolognese dialect. This is the battle cry used by Scaramouche, the protagonist, against the enemies of the Revolution.
